I'm not really sure whatintheworld provoked me to take the girls to the mall today. Maybe it was my desperate need for black dress shoes, or the fact that my mother's birthday is tomorrow and I didn't have a gift for her, maybe because tomorrow is Valentine's Day and I wanted to get DH a little something or it could have been my birthday money...just begging to be spent or maybe the fact that I am getting a little cabin fever and wanted to get out.
The girls were great, they were great when I had to wheel them into the handicap stall in Dillards bathroom because, well, you know why! They were excellent when I stuck bottles in their mouths, propped up by blankets while I kept shopping, they were even quiet while I tried on 100some shoes. The girls were fine.
It was the stroller.
Yes, the stroller that I ran into shelves, racks of clothes and, yes, a man's ankle at Hallmark where after trying to maneuver around the Valentines Day cards (the DAY before Valentine's Day) I gave up and told myself the truth (that DH could care less about a V Day card).
It was the stroller...
and the "gawkers"
Seriously, is it REALLY that uncommon to see twins? Is it REALLY necessary to ask "are they twins"? I always say "yes" but I really want to say "no, they are sisters, born 3 minutes apart" or "No, they are triplets, I have the third one here in the basket underneath".
Yes, I know they really are cute little babies. I don't blame people for saying so (I say it all the time) but when they ask silly questions...
I left the mall after two hours. I bought two pair of shoes and a pair of dress pants for me. No gift for mom, no card for DH.
Very grateful for happy babies that know how to shop...at least for now!
